this is what happens when you have an older sister. i did this exact same thing to all of my brothers i wish i had the picture to post. it was a sunday activity to turn my brothers into girls.

Halloween

i guess i should back up. here is our halloween pics madison wanted me to make her a huge m&m costume- and huge is exactly what it was. drew was a hunter and nixon (no pics sorry i am so bad with picture taking) was the moose. they all looked so cute (i think so but i am biased) we also had cole and amanda over for some pumpkin carving. and derek and shawna and there girls came trick or treating with us it was a fabulous time

these are the mighty hunters if you look real close you can see that there is two deer we went out yesterday and got mikes it was a good size i thought so any way it was really heavy to haul back to the truck!!! but it was fun we took drew and nixon with us and when mike shot the deer and it feel nixon looked at me with a puzzled look and said oh!!! i don't think he expected that to happen!

cole and mike went hunting today and then came back to our garage to skin the deer that cole got. nixon went out side cuz he wanted to help, he was a real big helper cole sent him inside with this!!!!! he thought it was great!!!!!

yesterday i tried to dress up my kids (not the easiest thing to do) and go in the back yard to take pictures it was kind of difficult to do. but now i am tring to figure out how to edit them if anyone has some tips for me let me know. here is 3 of my 77 pictures that i took to bad more of them did not turn out. i will get better i hope. good thing the kids are so cute ( i am not baied or anything)

little boys get into so much trouble and nixon is just like every other little boy. he adds so much fun to our lives.

he is two already i can't believe my baby is growing up! i know every body says that but when your husband says no more babies it makes me sad that he is getting so old.
we had a little party for his 2nd birthday the mccarthy family came and we had dinner and cake nixon had blast opening some gifts, it was really fun.

surfing the ditches

what do you do in the spring time when it has been raining for , well it seems like ever? it doesn't matter what the weather is like mike can always find some thing to do to have fun and make the best of things. today some of mikes friends and mike got out the quad and scurf board and went surfing in the ditches. mike used to do this all the time when he was younger, him and matt wolff. i actually don't mind the rain there is nothing better then the smell of rain especially in the mountain's i would love to live in the mountain's. enough day dreaming know i guess i better get back to being a mom!!!!!!!!!!

happy anniversary

ok so i know this is a lot for one day but i had to add one more thing. today is my anniversary yeah it has been 10 years, that seems like a long time to me but it has gone by so fast. i have the best husband, he would do anything for me and i love him for that. but i won't bore you with the mussy stuff. i love you mike

dinosaur head

the other day we were getting ready to go some where and mike said every one get you shoes and socks on ( my kids hate to wear socks they come off their feet the minute they walk in the door). nixon loves to go it doesn't matter where you are going he is super excited to go so he took off running as fast as he could to his bed room to get his shoes just before he got to his door he slipped and smacked he forehead on the door frame he must have hit it really hard it swelled up so big and it was right in the middle so he looked kind of like a dinosaur for a while. i can't post any picture cuz my camera won't work but i will later

drews addiction

for the longest time the ipod touch was broken it would not even turn on. but about a week ago mike figured out what was wrong with it. and ever since then all i here from drew is can i play on the ipod, where is the ipod, can i take the ipod to bed. it never ends ( kind of wish it would magically disappear). i fact this is how much he loves it he will even stay awake late at night to play games on it (11:00 pm). so the other day he was asking if he could take it to bed with him and mike told him that when mom got back from her run she would get it out of the van, mike was just hoping he would forget about it and fall asleep, well not drew when i got home from my run i was down stairs with mike it was about 10:00 and down came drew still awake and waiting for the ipod. that is a serious addiction drew we are going to have to do something about that. but we love you any ways.

labels

madison is now in grade 2 and loves to read in fact she loves to read every thing including the labels on her shoes. when asked yesterday if she got her shoes in california she replied yes and then when asked if they where from gap she replied so mater of factly "they were made in china" aperently they are not from gap because the tag say they are from china. when my friend told me madison had said this she and i had a good laugh they grow up so quickly we love our madison.

my little girl has grown up on me she turned 8. on march 20 she was baptized. it was a really good day there was tons of family there and she looked so precious in her white dress. she choose to be baptized in her dress rather than in the jump suits. we were a little worried that it would be a problem cuz the dress was so puffy but every thing went really smoothly. except for one minor detail, i had lent the card out of my camera to some one to get pictures of off it and forgot that it was not in my camera the whole day i was taking pictures of madison and her big day and forgot that i had no card in my camera therefor i ended up with not one picture. so on sunday we dressed back up and took some more. this is madison in her dress the day after the baptism.

well i have not made a post for so long cuz my hard drive crashed it sucked. i still don't have it back but soon. my life has been so busy tax season is here and i hate it. but i have an amazing friend who wants to lighten my load a little and she said she would file my receipts for the whole year. and she said she enjoys doing things like that i now weird. but i feel so lucky. also we are back to working on the house full time we have to be out of this rental by the end of the month, the next family is moving in. so i feel like a single mom i never see my husband but it will all pay off i guess.

madison

a couple of weeks ago ok so before christmas, madison shocked me. she came home with a picture that she had drawn as school. it was colored with wax crayons on a piece of sandpaper. the reason for putting on sandpaper was so the could iron transfer it onto a square of cotton for a quilt at school which they gave away as a class to the giving tree (for the needy). but the part that i was so shocked about was what the picture looked like i think that she did an awesome job, she is in grade 2 this year and absolutely loves school it helps to have such a good teacher. she is 7 almost 8 and is so excited to get baptized. her favorite color is blue. her favorite food is broccoli. she loves to play outside and can't wait for summer again. and she is the best big sister and helper.

ok so i am way past the delurking day but i want to know who all you anonymous readers are so come on fess up.

trouble

ok so i have been writing a lot of things about nixon lately but he is the one that is the most destructive and seems to get into the most trouble. this is what happens when i try to be productive and get things done. i was trying to make dinner and nixon decided to help me by pulling a bag of chocolate chex mix off of the counter and all over the floor.( by the way the chocolate chex mix is the best snack ever). it seems like i go from one things to the next cleaning up after this little boy. it is amazing that some one so cute and innocent looking can be such a stinker. but we love him and i guess my life would be pretty boring with out my three rug rats.

i guess i need to back up a little. drew had his very first friend birthday party and the last, no I'm just kidding but next year we will plan on going some where and doing something instead of having it at my house. he loved it and it went fairly smoothly. except i should never attempt to make a cake with out Amanda's help. don't laugh at the cake i really didn't care about it and only one kid ate it any ways (probably cuz it looked so bad.)

nixon

out of all of my kids none of them have had so many bangs and bruises, i haven't decided if he is just so wild or if he is a big klutz. the other day he pulled over one of our kitchen chairs on to him self and ended up with a goose egg. our chair are metal and they are heavy, he was not very happy.


then just yesterday nixon tripped over some shoes and head dived into the trailer battery that was in the front entry. when i picked him up there was blood running down his face after wiping it off i couldn't decide if it needed a stitch or not. but i took him to the er any way and yes he needed one stitch to hold it together. the doctor froze it and put one stitch in it and nixon sat so still the whole time, the doctor and i were so surprised. here is a picture but i am not a good photographer so you can't really see it. sorry

christmas 09

christmas was so fun this year matt and reba came home and spent 2 weeks at my moms house it was so fun to get to know reba better. we did a home made christmas this year (pictures of some of the things to follow) therefore we had only about a dozen presents under the tree which was awesome. it wasn't all about the gifts this year it was more exciting to watch what others had made and how excited everyone was about there gift they were giving instead of getting. here is picture of my kids in there christmas pjs that i finished sewing on christmas eve (yes andy i was sewing in christmas eve again). maybe this year i will be finished before christmas eve but then again it kind of become a tradition.
